Welcome to ELA 9 with me and Mr. Hannah. We had a great group of students last semester and I have high hopes for this semester, too. In the upcoming semester, we'll be looking at a variety of literature--The House on Mango Street, To Kill a Mockingbird, Othello, and Night--as well as writing one major research paper along with several other writing projects. If you don't like reading or writing, we hope to change your mind, or at least give you a better appreciation for it. We look forward to working with you!
Remember, please don't forget to get the Class Expectations sheet signed by your parent or guardian. It will be your first homework assignment of the semester. Also, please do your best filling in the Interview Sheet. This is a chance for me and Mr. Hannah to get to know you a little bit better and give you the opportunity to let us know of anything you would like to share with us.
